Story

Our Journey Toward Healing and Togetherness

Welcome to Kula Community Centre! I'm Michelle, and I'm thrilled to share with you the story of how this centre came to be and the vision that drives it.

The Vision That Began 20 Years Ago

The journey toward Kula Community Centre began two decades ago, fuelled by a vision to create a safe haven where healing, togetherness, and support would be accessible to all. This vision emerged from a deep understanding of the enduring effects of generational trauma.

A Personal Journey Through Trauma and Healing

I have walked the path of generational trauma, and in my quest for healing and peace, I sought guidance from healers and mentors across the globe. This journey was transformative, allowing me to find my own sense of safety and serenity. It is my heartfelt desire to bring this sense of wholeness and well-being to the community of Woy Woy.

Kula: More Than Just a Name

The name "Kula" holds a profound meaning. Rooted in Sanskrit, it translates to "togetherness" or "community." This essence underlies everything we do at Kula Community Centre, where we offer support to those experiencing trauma, mental health disorders, and domestic violence.

A Commitment to Giving Back

One of the core principles of Kula is the commitment to give back to the community. Our aim is to be a beacon of hope, a place where individuals can find solace and healing, regardless of their background or circumstances.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

My personal journey has been enriched by collaborations with healers and mentors from diverse backgrounds around the world. This global perspective informs the services and support we offer at Kula.

Our Services and Offerings
  • Yoga Expertise: With eight years of experience as a qualified yoga teacher, I specialise in Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, drawing inspiration from my time in Chiang Mai.

  • Holistic Healing: My training in Reiki, sound healing, and yin yoga has taken me on a worldwide quest for knowledge. I now bring these powerful practices to our community.

  • Workshops and Events: At Kula, we host a variety of workshops and events, both for individuals and corporate clients, aimed at promoting healing, personal growth, and community togetherness.

Our Pledge to You

Kula Community Centre is a place where everyone is welcome, where the journey toward healing and well-being is nurtured, and where the power of community is celebrated. We invite you to join us on this journey of transformation and growth.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We look forward to the opportunity to support you on your path to healing and togetherness.

With warmth and gratitude,

Michelle and the Kula Community Centre Team
